The average price of diesel fuel nationwide increased for a third straight week, rising 4.3 cents to a four-month high of $2.274 a gallon, according to Department of Energy information.

This increase comes after last week’s 1.5-cent advance and 3.1 cents two weeks ago, for an 8.9-cent increase in the past three weeks.

The price of diesel fuel is at its highest since January 19, though it is $2.45 less than its near-record level one year ago, DOE said.
