Daniel Furth

Daniel Furth has been named National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) vice-president, according to NTTC President John Conley.

"We’re pleased that Dan Furth is joining our staff," Conley said. "His direct industry experience and his government background should really serve our members well as he undertakes his new role."

Furth’s tank truck experience began in high school when he worked for the original Quality Carriers Inc, then based in Lake Bluff IL. After earning a degree in government from Georgetown University, he served in a variety of positions in the financial and government sectors in Chicago.

Returning to the tank truck industry in 1994, he joined MTL Inc in Tampa FL and played an important role in that company’s initial public offering, its subsequent leveraged buyout, its combination with Chemical Leaman, and its ultimate rebranding as Quality Distribution/Quality Carriers. Furth left that company in 2000, but continued to provide strategic communications counsel to several industry players as a consultant.

Prior to joining NTTC, he served as executive vice-president and principal financial officer for a small, public biotech company based in Savannah GA.
