Cenelectrex verifies static dissipation path

Jan 1, 2008 12:00 PM

The simple bonding lines provided on most special-purpose trucks, mobile service vehicles, or trailer-mounted equipment can easily fail if not used properly or if they are not in good working condition. Such equipment is typically grounded through the equipment it is serving, making it doubly difficult to be certain that static electricity will be safely dissipated.

The new Cenelectrex Mobile Equipment Grounding and Bonding system responds to this dangerous situation by providing electronically sensed, inherently safe verification of the establishment of a valid connection to a designated ground point or equipotential bond. When a safe path is established it is signaled through a bright, unambiguous LED readout. This grounding and bonding system can be used for virtually any mobile equipment that must operate within, or close to, potentially explosive or flammable atmospheres.

Like all Cenelectrex equipment, this new line is certified according to United States, Canadian, and European Hazardous Area standards and directives such as NFPA77 in the United States and CLC/TR50404 in Europe.
