Blackmer enhances pump capabilities

May 1, 2008 12:00 PM

Blackmer's new Piston Air Valve has increased the performance capabilities of its Model TXD2.5A sliding vane pumps. The Piston Air Valve design features a sliding piston and U-Cup O-Rings that replace the traditional diaphragm-style air valves. This new design offers longer service life but with the same easy, efficient installation and operation features. The new valve also features a pressed-in breather vent that replaces the previous threaded vent. The Piston Air Valve can be ordered as a pump-mounted option or as a conversion kit (Part #891705). Future plans call for the Piston Air Valve to also be available for Blackmer's TXD2A and TXD3E models.

Blackmer's TX/TXD Series of sliding vane pumps can handle clean, lubricating fluids for petroleum products ranging from fuel oil, diesel, kerosene, gasoline, avgas, jet fuel, and light oils. TX/TXD Series pumps are available with port sizes from 1.5 to 4 inches, flow rates from 10 to 500 gpm, and relief valve pressures to 125 psi.
