The Petroleum Equipment Institute has established a new Alternative Fuels Equipment Compatibility Guide on the web site at www.pei.org/altfuels. This guide is an ongoing reference, providing the petroleum equipment industry with information about what products, manufactured by PEI members, are compatible with various alternative fuels.

The guide focuses on components used in construction and design of gas stations, truckstops, convenience stores, and bulk terminals that deal with alternative fuel blends.

PEI's online database can be searched by equipment, fuel, or company. Products that store, dispense, meter, or transport ethanol and/or biodiesel fuel blends are listed by model number with details on certification, compatibility verification, and manufacturer contact information.
