CTL celebrates Driver Appreciation Week

Aug 28, 2006 4:02 PM

CTL Distribution Inc, Mulberry FL, celebrated Drivers Appreciation Week, August 20-26, by providing drivers with hot meals for breakfast and lunch, ranging from hot dogs and hamburgers to chicken spaghetti and jambalaya.

The company also gave drivers CTL hats and T-shirts. All terminals participated in the events, including those in Houston and Freeport TX, Sterlington and St. Gabriel LA, Mobile AL, Atlanta and Savannah GA, Mulberry and Tampa FL, and East St Louis IL.

"We always get a great response, and each year gets better,” said Ken Wieck, human resources and driver recruiting director. “Of course, when you truly appreciate your drivers, its shows no matter what week it is. I think a driver’s sense of being appreciated plays a big part in whether he or she will decide to stay with a company or move on.”
