Transplace acquires SCO Logistics

Transplace has acquired SCO Logistics, a Philadelphia PA-based logistics services company focused on chemical industry needs and requirements. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

As one of the top 10 freight capacity brokers in the United States and a leading provider of third-party logistics services, Transplace generates revenue in excess of $800 million from approximately 650 customers. Owned by CI Capital Partners since 2009, Transplace helps manage complex logistics and shipping needs by providing customized services through a proprietary web-based TMS platform. The company provides full transportation outsourcing, carrier contracting and negotiation, and freight brokerage services to a diverse blue chip customer base.
