The Truck Safety Coalition, a partnership between Citizens for Reliable and Safe Highways (CRASH) and Parents Against Tired Truckers (PATT), awarded its first-ever Distinguished Safety Leadership Award to Don Osterberg, senior vice-president of safety, driver training, and security at Schneider National. Osterberg has led many safety initiatives, including installation of speed governors on all company truck engines, placement of electronic onboard recorders in all trucks, and screening of all drivers for sleep apnea.
TransMontaigne Partners LP and TransMontaigne Inc announced that Ronald A “Randy” Majors has been hired as senior vice-president-business development. Majors previously served as president and chief executive officer of Pipestream, a technology company. Rob Fuller has joined TransMontaigne and will become chief accounting officer effective January 1, 2011. Deborah A Davis, the current chief accounting officer, plans to leave the company to spend more time with her family and will transition Fuller into the position. He spent the past 13 years with KPMG in its New York Department of Professional Practice and the Denver CO office.
