Carbis makes its own marine loading arms

Carbis Inc. has begun manufacturing its own line of marine loading and unloading arms. To handle such a range of bulk liquid freight, Carbis employs a staff of more than 30 designers to customize an application for a customer by offering:

  • Arm sizes ranging in diameter from 4 to 12 inches

  • An extensive assortment of pipe materials such as carbon and stainless steel and special alloys

  • A broad offering of seals including buna-N, Viton, PTFE, and other materials

  • Use of split-flanged swivel joints for easy seal replacement, where appropriate

  • End connections per the customer's requirements

  • Pressure ratings of PN 40 or higher

Carbis plans to market its line of fluid handling arms through its existing relationships with marine terminals that have also purchased barge access equipment, ship towers, gangways, marine ladders, and other safe access and fall protection/prevention equipment.
