BioMaxx to build demo biodiesel plant in South Asia

Apr 26, 2007 2:49 PM

BioMaxx Systems Inc, Toronto, Ontario, Canada has announced it is completing the final planning process for a biodiesel demonstration plant in either Indonesia, Malaysia, or Thailand.

Site selection will be determined by the proximity and availability of feedstocks for producing biodiesel, as well as geographic access to major markets such as China or Japan, the company said.

The demonstration plant will be designed to process a variety of feedstocks such as algae, jatropha, mustard seed, palm oil, rapeseed, soy oils, tallow, waste vegetable oils and yellow greases. It will allow the BioMaxx technical team to demonstrate and develop proprietary production techniques and will demonstrate biodiesel production rates, utilizing the alternative feedstocks for optimal outputs and volumes.

The project also will assist BioMaxx in the development of a product line of small scale biodiesel production plants to be marketed in Asia where they will be customizable to the specific feedstocks as dictated by client requirements.
