Dennis Rethmeier, president of Western Pump Inc, San Diego CA, has been elected by members of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) to serve as group president. He has most recently served as PEI vice-president. Joey Cheek, president of JMP Solutions Inc, Tampa FL, has been elected PEI vice-president. Cheek most recently served as the group's treasurer. Terry Cooper, president of Acterra Group Inc, Marion IA, was appointed treasurer by the PEI board of directors, effective immediately.
The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has named Mary Phillips senior vice-president of legislative affairs. She previously served as a senior professional staff member for the US Senate Commerce Committee's Surface Transportation Subcommittee, a position she also held from 2002 through 2004. Phillips succeeds Timothy P Lynch, who joined international law firm Morgan-Lewis as senior director of its Washington Government Relations and Public Policy Practice.
