Doug Place, chief financial officer for Dupré Logistics LLC, was recently elected chairman of the board of the Louisiana Motor Transport Association for 2011-2012. A member of the LMTA since 2004, he served as president from 2010-2011, first vice-president from 2009-2010, and second vice-president from 2008-2009. Additionally, he has served on the LMTA board of directors since 2007.
The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) has hired Anne Steckel, currently chief of staff to US Rep Mike Thompson (D-CA), to serve as vice-president of federal affairs. Steckel succeeds Manning Feraci, who left NBB recently to lead government affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association.
