AmeriGas to acquire Shell Gas

AmeriGas Partners LP has announced that its operating partnership has agreed to acquire Shell Gas (LPG) USA, which owns and operates a retail propane distribution business.
The Shell Gas business sells over 13 million gallons of propane annually to nearly 20,000 customers from twelve locations in Michigan. The sale, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to occur during the second quarter of calendar year 2007.
