Teppco buys underground LPG storage cavern

Teppco Partners LP, Houston TX, has purchased an underground liquid petroleum gas (LPG) storage cavern in Middletown OH, according to company information.
Adjacent to Teppco's Todhunter Terminal, the cavern, along with a cavern purchased in a separate transaction in December 2006, increases the company's storage capacity by 330,000 barrels.
The additional storage capacity complements a recent expansion of Teppco's LPG pipeline between Greensburg and Eagle PA.
The TEPPCO pipeline transports LPG from the upper Texas Gulf Coast to the Northeast region of the United States.
