Tremcar opens new manufacturing plant

Tremcar Inc, manufacturer of tanker trailers, inaugurated its new manufacturing plant September 16 in the Iberville, Quebec, industrial park in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The investment of $5.2 million will consolidate the 125 jobs in the plant, while enabling Tremcar to undertake the expansion necessary for the creation of 100 new jobs within five years.
With its 92,000 square feet, the new plant houses a stainless steel manufacturing facility and administration services.
The company will manufacture annually at its St-Jean-sur-Richelieu facility more than 600 new tanker trailers for the food, sanitary, chemical, and petroleum transportation markets.
