Mystic Bulk Carriers Inc has a new Logistics and Load Planning Center at its corporate headquarters in Astoria NY. Based on 29 years of experience using a central order and dispatch system for its internal workflow, Mystic built on its existing distribution system to create an advanced-technology center.
Within the center, the Customer Service Group handles all incoming orders and shipper-initiated load changes via the Internet, telephone, or facsimile. All orders and load changes are collated by the system and instantaneously routed to the load planning center, where real-time dispatch and tracking is viewed online, in real time, 24/7. The load planning center automatically distributes workflow to each outlying terminal and instantly reports truck location and estimated time of arrival.
