HOYER expands network in Ireland

HOYER Ireland, part of the HOYER Group, a leading tank container operator, has taken over the Cork, Ireland-based subsidiary SCL Transport Ltd, part of the Irish South Coast Transport Group in Fermoy. This company concentrates the ISO tank and box container business of South Coast.
“The takeover of SCL Transport optimizes our network, improves the utilization of the transport lanes from and to Ireland and the UK, and fits perfectly into the structure of the HOYER Group”, HOYER Chief Executive Officer Ortwin Nast said. This transaction includes the acquisition of the entire ISO tank and box-container business of South Coast by HOYER, which will be continued as before with existing employees. The company currently operates approximately 350 tank containers.
Other business of the South Coast Transport Group will remain unaffected by the sale and continue as normal.
