Meteorlogix, a commercial weather services provider, has introduced MxVision Weather Information Notification Service (WINS), a new system that lets instant, personalized weather alerts be received on any e-mail-compatible cell phone, PDA, pager, or PC. With MxVision WINS, subscribers can now be mobile and still be alerted to weather situations about to affect a specific location.
MxVision WINS constantly monitors user-specified weather parameters at a user-specified location, 24 hours a day. Users are immediately notified when specified types of weather conditions are approaching their specific location. MxVision WINS also delivers county-based Weather Service watches, warnings, and advisories for their area.
