Elemica, Optimum team up to provide logistics solutions

Elemica, Stamford CT, and Optimum Logistics, Wayne PA, have agreed to provide Optimum Logistics solutions via the Elemica Network. The relationship will enable more efficient collaboration between chemical companies and their marine logistics service providers (LSPs) such as terminal operators, carriers, freight forwarders, and surveyors, by providing Elemica members easier access to global marine logistics solutions. The connection will enable Elemica member companies to utilize Optimum Logistics solutions via their existing connection to Elemica.

The Elemica Network was created by the effort and funding from Air Products and Chemicals, ATOFINA, BASF, Bayer, BP, Brenntag, Celanese, Chemcentral, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Degussa, The Dow Chemical Company, DSM, DuPont, Millennium Chemicals, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Mitsui Chemicals, Rhodia, Rohm and Haas, Shell, Solvay, Sumitomo Chemical, and Univar.
