Volvo Trucks North America, Greensboro NC, will continue as sponsor of the America's Road Team, a program of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).

The company made the announcement after receiving an award for its support of the program at the ATA’s Management Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans LA. Volvo was recognized for its 2008 sponsorship of the ATA program.

America’s Road Team is comprised of a small group of professional truck drivers, known as Road Team Captains, who share superior driving skills, remarkable safety records, and a strong desire to spread the word about safety on the highway. The captains speak on a regular basis to government officials, lawmakers, students, industry gatherings, and other drivers about trucking and highway safety issues.
