Volvo EPA 2010 truck orders above 10,000

Oct 1, 2010 12:00 PM

Volvo Trucks North America announced that orders for Class 8 trucks equipped with EPA 2010-certified Volvo Group engines — which include the Volvo D11, D13, and D16 — have surpassed the 10,000 mark. Thanks to selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, these vehicles deliver near-zero emissions, and fuel economy improvements of up to 5%.

The Volvo VN and VHD trucks are assembled in the United States at the New River Valley Plant in Dublin VA, while Volvo engines for North America are assembled in Hagerstown MD. Both plants are certified to ISO14001 environmental and ISO9001 quality standards.
