Goodyear has created the G286 HSS (Heavy Service Steer) tire. The tire, which offers the same performance features as Goodyear's G286 all-position tire, can handle loads of up to 10,200 pounds per tire (20,400 pounds per axle) at 130 psi. The G286 HSS is designed for severe-service applications. Rubber compounds and a 22/32" tread design help the tire resist chipping, chunking, and rib tear. The tread design also provides superior traction. Goodyear's Enhanced Casing Design (ECD) technology improves durability, puncture resistance, and retreadability.

The tire is available in 315/80R22.5 and is rated for Load Range L. Because of the extreme loads, the tire has a maximum speed of 55 miles per hour. For additional information, contact Goodyear, 1144 E Market St, Akron OH 44316-0001.
