Special-edition Peterbilt ready for purchase

The special-edition Peterbilt Model 379X now can be ordered at Peterbilt dealerships throughout North America.
Peterbilt Motors Co debuted the polished aluminum and chrome special-edition truck during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville KY. Owner-operators can now visit their local Peterbilt dealership, custom-spec a Model 379X, and reserve its spot on the production line, from which the new vehicles will begin rolling in autumn 2003.
Two Model 379Xs are touring North America and being displayed at industry events. One of the trucks is pulling a trailer with special Model 379X graphics.
Among the exterior features of the Model 379X are:
Polished aluminum fenders and centerline hood trim
Coordinating, punched “Peterbilt oval” grille and air cleaner intake screen
Polished aluminum grille bars
Seven-inch chromed exhaust stacks
LED auxiliary lighting for the cab, sleeper, air cleaner, and rear light-bar assembly
Chrome Texas-style bumper
Extended stainless steel sun visor
Special-edition logos on each side of the sleeper
The Model 379X is equipped with a 70-inch Unibilt UltraCab sleeper.
