May 1, 2000 12:00 PM

KENWORTH'S K300 medium-duty cabover is now available with a Class 6 or 7 rating.

Wheelbase options are between 169 and 236 inches, allowing the K300 to be configured to meet a variety of straight truck applications. Equipped with a North American drivetrain, featuring the Cummins ISB engine (hp ratings from 185 to 240), the K300 can be matched with either a Fuller six-speed synchronized transmission or, beginning in August, a six-speed Eaton Fuller AutoShift or Allison MD-series automatic transmission.

In addition, Dana Spicer front axles with 12,000-lb rating (10,000-lb rating option coming in August) and rear axles (21,000-lb rating) are standard.

Rounding out drivetrain components are Eaton brakes and a Meritor WABCO four-channel, anti-lock braking system. Other options that will be available in August include an exhaust brake, single-passenger seat with center storage console and cupholder, and the self-adjusting Fuller Solo clutch.
