International selects Fontaine as supplier

International Truck and Engine Corp announced an agreement with Fontaine International as its exclusive supplier of factory-installed fifthwheels for International heavy-duty, severe-service, and medium-duty tractors.
This new relationship allows International and Fontaine engineers to collaborate more closely to deliver on customer needs such as weight reduction and improved functionality in specific applications.
Fontaine offers a complete product line of fifthwheel components for on- and off-highway applications. It offers a choice of cast or pressed steel top plates as well as the Patented No-Slack II Locking Technology that eliminates fifth wheel slack automatically. Fontaine fifthwheels are available on International tractors in the 4000, 5000i, 7000, 8000, and 9000i Series.
