Freightliner salutes soldiers who served in Iraq campaign

Freightliner LLC hosted a special event at the Portland Truck Manufacturing Plant to honor the Fort Lewis WA-based United States Army 513th Transportation Co. Attended by more than 100 soldiers from the 513th, the event recognized the unit's 4½-month tour-of-duty in Iraq and showed the troops the manufacturing processes used in building Freightliner military vehicles.
The event kicked off with a plant tour for the soldiers. This was followed by the 1,100 employees of the plant gathering for a tribute to the soldiers.
