John Christensen has joined Schneider National Inc as regional account manager for the Pacific Northwest, and Wesley Reeves has been promoted to regional sales manager for the Western Region. Christensen previously served as director of logistics and supply chain solutions for Sterling Commerce. Reeves most recently was named Sears dedicated manager.

Michael Fellinghauer has been appointed general manager of the joint venture Hoyer-Talke GmbH & Co KG, Hürth, Germany. He replaces Klaus Wessing, who served as interim manager of the joint venture as well as managing operations of Alfred Talke GmbH & Co KG. Fellinghauer most recently was department head at BTT GmbH in charge of railcar transports.

Quality Distribution Inc has appointed Richard B Marchese interim senior vice-president and chief financial officer. He is a director of the company, chairman of the Audit and Corporate Governance Committees, lead independent director, and a member of the Executive Committee. He will continue as a director but will resign from the Audit and Corporate Governance Committees. Alan H Schumacher, director and member of the Audit and Compensation Committees, will serve as chairman of the Audit Committee and was appointed a member of the Corporate Governance Committee, replacing Marchese. Joshua Harris, a member of the Corporate Governance Committee, will assume the role of chairman of that committee. Samuel M Hensley submitted his resignation as senior vice-president and CFO, effective Sept 24, 2004.

Ryder System Inc has appointed Tyrone M “Ty” Cross vice-president of maintenance. Most recently, he served as director of customer training and aftermarket logistics with Bell Helicopter Textron.

XATA Corp has named Mark Engel vice-president of sales. Before joining XATA, he led the Mid America region at Oracle Corp.
