Groendyke Transport Inc has appointed Greg Hodgen president, and he will also serve as chief operating officer. He most recently was executive vice-president and COO.
Dean M Piacente has been named vice-president — chemicals and fertilizer for CSX Transportation. He replaces Glenn L Katz, who has taken a position outside of the company. Most recently, Piacente served as president and managing director of Transflo Corp, a subsidiary of CSX Corp. Glen Soliah has been selected to replace Piacente as president of Transflo. Most recently, Soliah was director of operations and chief operating officer for Transflo.
Jim Skelton has been named senior vice-president for Ruan Transportation Management Systems. Previously, he was a transportation consultant for Garden Ridge Inc and vice-president — WW transportation operations and regulations for DFS Group LTD.
