Eaton Corp has signed a five-year agreement with VTTi Inc to provide a new line of cellular-based diagnostic software for automotive and commercial vehicle service.

The agreement enhances the current diagnostic service tool product line Eaton provides to the commercial vehicle service marketplace under the trademark “Eaton MD,” which stands for “Mobile Diagnostics.” Tools are provided by VTTi, based in Tustin CA.

A range of tool sets, options, and accessories will be supplied in 2004. The MD Tool, along with other service tools and supplies, are offered to service facilities and technicians through the Roadranger Store, a web commerce storefront at www.roadrangerstore.com/.
