Jul 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Dana Transport Inc, based in Avenel NJ, has acquired Krajack Tank Lines of Keasby NJ, bringing the Dana fleet to a total of 340 tractors and approximately 3,500 tank trailers, according to Ted Jamison, Dana sales and marketing director.

The acquisition of the Krajack vehicles and customer base was completed June 1. The chemical and petroleum carrier made the decision to acquire Krajack in order to expand its customer base and grow revenue. No terminals or other real estate were part of the transaction, Jamison says. Thirty-five drivers from Krajack were added to the Dana pool for about a total of 710.

Dana, with 30 terminals and tank washes, acquired 65 tank trailers and 35 tractors from Krajack.
