Mack sponsors ATA Share the Road program 

Mack Trucks Inc, Allentown PA, will continue as primary sponsor of the 2009 Share the Road Program, a program of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).

The company made the announcement after receiving an award for its support of the program at the ATA’s Management Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans LA. Mack was recognized for its 2008 sponsorship of the ATA program.

Designed to enhance the safety of America's roadways by teaching car drivers how to safely drive around large trucks, Share the Road uses as spokespeople a group of professional truck drivers with exemplary safety records. These drivers conduct safety demonstrations for local media, students, community leaders and highway users in cities around the United States as a way to deliver the program's life-saving messages about potential blind spots, safe following distances, truck stopping distances and the like. ...
