No-Idle Air-Conditioning comes to America

Jan 1, 2008 12:00 PM

Behr America is working with a major United States truck manufacturer to launch its No-Idle Air-Conditioning (NIA/C) system in North America in 2007.

The NIA/C System provides air-conditioning to heavy-duty truck cabins while the engine is turned off. This technology brings comfort to long-haul truckers who sleep in their cabins. It also saves fuel and reduces emissions.

“Behr has been producing the NIA/C System for Europe since 2003,” said Frank Mueller, Behr America president and chief executive officer. For more details, e-mail Indira Sadikovic at indira.sadikovic@us.behrgroup.com.
