Elemica, WEBB schedule joint conference

Elemica, the B2B supply chain network; and WEBB, a firm that optimizes relationships among trading partners, will host a joint conference February 22, 2011, in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Professionals from the chemical, energy/utility, and tire/rubber communities will gain insights from peers on supply chain initiatives that will cut costs and improve efficiencies.

Presentations from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on sourcing, Rhodia on Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), and CEMAR (Energy/Utilities Industry) on e-procurement are on the agenda. A case study on Transportation and Logistics optimization at Shell Brazil will also be featured. Elemica will present its supply chain systems portfolio with success stories in sourcing and customer management. WEBB will discuss its consulting services in catalog management and e-procurement.

Issues to be discussed include delivering goods in a cost-effective manner while meeting customer service levels, combining high technology with expert knowledge for logistics and materials sourcing, empowering collaborative relationships to drive down structural costs and increase efficiency, establishing real-time visibility into inventory, and demand.
