Dixon Bayco introduces API coupler

Sep 1, 2010 12:00 PM

Dixon Bayco's new API coupler for petroleum loading rack operations uses an improved snap-on connection to ensure automatic coupling action upon contact with the API adapter on a cargo tank.

The new coupler is completely modular so it can be built with various face seal combinations. This makes the coupler compatible with different alternative fuels, performance levels, and applications. Two models are available: bonded nose seal and replaceable nose seal.

Constructed of hard-coated anodized aluminum alloy AL 356 T6, the coupler weighs 20 pounds and has a 150-psi maximum working pressure. Maximum flow rate through the coupler is 300 gallons per minute.
