API adapter provides in-line sight glass

Dixon Bayco USA, Chestertown MD, has introduced the 5204SFI API adapter with an in-line tubular sight glass.
The company married its 5200SFI tubular sight glass technology with its 5204 API adapter to make the new product. The sight glass technology provides high visibility and longer service life in ethanol than standard doughnut-type acrylic sight glasses. The aluminum cage design removes stress that causes hazing common with acrylic sight glasses. Low-cost sight glass tubes are simple to replace.
The new product can replace an existing API with doughnut sight glass for the same length envelope. Overall length is the same as a standard API adapter with acrylic doughnut sight glass. It is rated for 75-psi hydrostatic pressure at 70 degrees.
