New Heil 4 Parts! program focuses on customers especially premium ones

Nov 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Heil Tank Service, the aftermarket parts and service arm of Heil Trailer International (HTI), has created Heil 4 Parts! This program is designed to improve customer focus, particularly for the company's top customers.

“We are looking to leverage our existing dealer network to expand our coverage in the aftermarket parts marketplace,“ said Heil's Sam Cooper. “Instead of Heil Tank Service being a direct regional competitor with our dealers, they will be a supply-chain support center.”

Changes include the establishment of a call center for all inbound calls and the opening of a parts distribution center in Louisville KY.

Heil 4 Parts! will be implemented in phases. The call center will be part of the first phase, and it will handle incoming calls from throughout the Americas. The parts distribution center, also part of the initial phase, is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2007.

Future phases include customized e-commerce online catalogs, expansion in the western United States, and establishment of Heil Academy Regional Learning Centers.

As part of the new approach, customers whose purchases reach specified levels will not need to call the general phone number to place orders. Instead, they will receive a designated telephone number to reach their assigned representative.

Heil 4 Parts! will be under the direction of Dan Snell, Heil's vice-president of aftermarket.
