Hendrickson Bumper and Trim earns Star

Hendrickson's Bumper and Trim facility has been recognized as a Star site, the highest recognition within the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).
OSHA's team performed an audit of the facility in June 2010, including a review of management leadership practices, employee involvement, work site analysis, hazard and prevention control, and safety and health training.
Findings include:
Excellent housekeeping
Active employee involvement
Comprehensive wellness program
Engineering controls exceeding OSHA requirements
Utilization of a software program designed to track and evaluate accidents, near misses, recordable incidents, and training.
Hendrickson Bumper and Trimsays it is the first facility in the nation to be approved for this program with an NAICS code of 336370. A formal presentation ceremony was set for May 13, when OSHA's regional director and members of its audit team will present the VPP plaque to Hendrickson.
