Willbros Group Inc announced that a unit of its Downstream Oil & Gas segment was awarded contracts by Plains Marketing LP to build three new petroleum storage tanks at its Patoka Terminal in Vernon IL. The project consists of construction of two internal floating roof tanks and an additional external floating roof tank. Total working capacity of the three tanks will be nearly one million barrels of crude oil.

The group recently completed construction of new tanks in the same area for Plains.

“We believe the performance of our tank services personnel on previous work in this area contributed to our selection for this important project for Plains,” said Rich Cellon, president  of Willbros Downstream.
