Tank Service Inc, based in Houston TX, is planning construction of a new 1.2-acre terminal for tank container sales in La Porte TX. On the drawing board are a 5,000-square-foot building to house offices and a three-bay service shop. The facility is expected to be completed by late October 2004. Tank Service sells new and used tank containers, as well as IBCs.

The new facility will handle about 200 tank containers and 40-50 tank trailers and/or tank container chassis. Russell Harrison of Tank Service says the company sees increased business in North America and is making plans to expand into Central and South America.
