Effective June 2, 2003, IDEX Corp purchased Sponsler Co Inc for inclusion in the Liquid Controls family of companies, which now includes Liquid Controls, Corken, Sponsler, SAMPI, and LC India. The acquisition will position the Liquid Controls family of companies to grow sales of meters in core petroleum and industrial markets worldwide.

Sponsler, a manufacturer of precision turbine flow meters and associated electronic devices, is based in Westminster SC and has about 50 employees. Major markets served include cryogenic, general industrial, gas, and petroleum.
