Seal blushes when breach attempt occurs

Jun 1, 2004 12:00 PM

TydenBrammall has added a 14" Ultra Strap Bag Seal to its line of plastic strap seals to protect chemical, food additive, and industrial bag shipments. This ASTM Class B seal is constructed of polypropylene that blushes to indicate to security personnel when a breach attempt has occurred.

Four serrated teeth grip the cloth or plastic bag to which they're secured, preventing hand removal and requiring the seal to be cut from its protected cargo. A spring steel insert in the locking body gives the Ultra Strap 150 pounds of locking strength. The seal has been proven to perform in conditions from -40° to +120° F and contains UV additives that allow it to withstand extended outdoor exposure.

Available in various colors, the seals can be used to color code inbound and outbound shipments. The strap has a usable length of 11" and a 3-inch long tag that comes standard with hot-foil identification stamping. Bar coding is an option.
