Hopper Bottom IBC promotes product flow

Oct 1, 2002 12:00 PM

Meese Orbitron Dunne Co (MOD) has unveiled the Hopper Bottom intermediate bulk container (IBC). This IBC has a 30° angle, hopper-shaped bottom that promotes consistent flow and complete drainage of viscous products while preventing the material from sticking to container walls as waste.

Rotomolded in a single unit from linear low density polyethylene, the UV- and chemical-resistant IBC includes a 2" full port valve as either bottom or side discharge and a 23" top with lever lock ring.

Set in a powdercoated, steel frame with optional identification plates on four sides, this IBC stacks two high when full and is four-way forklift-accessible. The container is offered in 285- and 330-gallon capacities measuring 45" × 45" × 56" and 45" × 45" × 63.5" respectively (side discharge) with approximate tare weights of 370 and 420 pounds.
