Heil enters New Zealand trailer market

Aug 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Heil Asia Ltd, the Thailand-based wholly owned subsidiary of Heil Trailer International, has successfully entered the New Zealand petroleum transport sector. The company has introduced a new 40,000-liter (about 10,550 United States gallons), front-taper-design trailer on behalf of Allied Petroleum Ltd, ExxonMobil's contract hauler for South Island operations.

In cooperation with its New Zealand distributor, Fuelquip (NZ) Ltd, Heil Asia designed and delivered a trailer that meets or exceeds all relevant Land Transport Safety Authority and Environmental Risk Management Authority regulations. Heil Asia was granted the first approval number under the new rules. The company also met the New Zealand's “Static Rollover Threshold” requirements that are becoming an internationally accepted standard.
