Alum-A-Loc Cable Seal More Secure Than Ever

May 1, 2001 12:00 PM

TydenBrammall has enhanced its Alum-A-Loc cable seal by adding a covert security feature to deter truck, railcar, and container load theft and tampering. The seal unites the high tensile strength of aircraft control cable with a drill-resistant (patent pending), corrosion-resistant lock body, providing a locking strength of 1,600 pounds (700 kg). The cable is adjustable, making the seal applicable where many bolt seals are not. This seal is removable only with specialized, professional-strength cable cutters.

The Alum-A-Loc also facilitates cargo tracking. Its serialized lock body can be bar-coded and/or color-coded. The body allows standard cold stamping of one to six characters and numbering of six digits. Ink-jet and laser marking, along with a new reflective tape option that verifies seal presence even in the dark, is also offered.

The 3/16" (5-mm)-diameter, 12" (30 cm)-long, 7 × 7 cable (7 × 19 construction optional) is flexible and pliable. Cable length is customized for each application and pulls tight for maximum security. For more information, contact TydenBrammall, 409 Hoosier Dr, Angola IN 46703.
