Atlas Oil announced October 30 that it was sending trucks and fuel to assist with the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Based in Taylor MI, Atlas is partnering with one of FEMA’s primary emergency fuel contractors to provide needed fuel trucks to assist with relief efforts in the New Jersey area.

Atlas Oil’s Emergency Services division has built a reputation of responding to emergencies such as power outages caused by storms. The company frequently refuels generators for hospitals, data centers, and other mission critical operations.

“We are pleased that we are able to help in this relief effort,” says Sam Simon, chief executive officer and owner, Atlas Oil Company. “We have the equipment and the fuel expertise to assist in this massive restoration effort, and our team members are rallying behind this.”

Atlas Oil officials expected to begin deploying trucks and fuel late on October 30 and anticipated deploying additional resources as the situation warrants
