Following a brief hiatus in September, the used truck market appears to moving in the right direction, as Class 8 unit sales improved 6% month-over-month. The update on the used market was reported in the latest release of the State of the Industry: U.S. Classes 3-8 Used Trucks, published by ACT Research.

“Pricing continues to be the primary topic of interest in the industry,” says Steve Tam, vice president-commercial vehicle sector with ACT. “Total reported Class 8 trucks sold in October saw a modest increase over September and also remained positive year-to-date. However, year-over-year pricing experienced a meaningful decline.”
