Eaton Corporation has named John Coll vice-president of global marketing for the Vehicle Group reporting to Vehicle Group President Kenneth F Davis. Most recently, Coll was director of sales for Eaton's Truck business in North America He has named Don Alles director of branding and communications. Since joining Eaton 1984, Alles has held several business communication management positions in the truck business and Vehicle Group. Bill Carter has been named director of sales and marketing functional excellence. Since joining the firm in 1976, Carter has served in management roles in engineering, product planning, pricing, and sales operations. Tom Nellenbach has been named director of marketing intelligence. Since joining Eaton in 2006, Nellenbach has served as the marketing manager for alternative markets in the Automotive Group and market planning and automotive marketing manager for the Vehicle Group. Eaton announced that Egon Lechner has been named solutions architect for the Hydraulics Group and will continue to be based in Baden-Baden, Germany. Lechner joined the firm in 2004 from Bosch Rexroth Industrial Hydraulics, where he served in sales, operations, and research and development. Eaton has named Astrid Mozes president-Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the Hydraulics Group, and she will relocate to Morges, Switzerland. A search to find her successor as senior vice-president and general manager-Power and Motion Control Division is underway.

Champion Laboratories Inc, a UCI International company, has appointed Wolfgang Winzer president. He joins the company after serving for the past two years as president of Webb Wheel Products Inc.

Greatwide Logistics Services has selected Andrew Johnson as vice-president of its Gallop Logistics subsidiary. With more than 32 years of transportation and produce industry experience, Johnson previously served as business development and sales manager for NACC Transport in Ontario.

Haldex has appointed Matt Resch as program and market manager for Haldex Friction & Remanufactured Products. Resch has been with Haldex for more than 10 years and has held a variety of product management positions.

Pressure Systems International (PSI) has hired Charles Lafuente to fill the new position of engineer/quality control manager. He will report directly to Kevin Hennig, vice-president of technical services. Lafuente's experience includes more than 15 years with Marshall Gas Controls of San Marcos TX, most recently as product/senior sales engineer.

Dan King has been promoted from vice-president of sales and marketing to senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC). Other YTC promotions include Thomas Masuguchi, from controller to vice-president and controller; John Cooney, from director of commercial sales to director of export; Rick Phillips, from manager of commercial sales to director of commercial sales; Alan Easome, from manager, supply chain planning to director, supply chain planning; Percy Cottle, from district sales manager, export to zone manager, export; and Andrew Briggs, from account manager to senior manager of motorsports. Minoru “Mike” Nakayama has joined the firm as chief advisor, corporate strategy and product planning. He comes from Yokohama Asia Co Ltd and will replace Kenichi “Kenny” Shirai, who has returned to The Yokohama Rubber Co, YTC's parent company.

XATA Corporation announced that David Gagne has been promoted to chief operating officer. He will report to Jay Coughlan, XATA's chairman and chief executive officer. Gagne, who joined the firm in 2007, previously was executive vice-president, field operations.

Phillips Industries has promoted Rob Phillips to vice-president of global operations. He started with the company 15 years ago and introduced lean disciplines and increasing employee participation in problem-solving to improve production levels at all Phillips operations.

Firestone Industrial Products Company LLC (FSIP) has named Albino Pinto as director of its São Paulo, Brazil, facility. He succeeds Acacio Santos, who is retiring after serving with the Bridgestone Americas organization since 1973. Pinto most recently was export/import and bid sales manager at Bridgestone de Brasil.
