Carbon Express honors million-mile-plus drivers

Carbon Express, Wharton NJ recently had a pig roast in honor of four drivers having over one million miles of accident free driving and one driver with over three million miles of accident free driving.

Brenton “Doc” Marcino was presented with the 3 Million Mile Safety Award. Marcino is an owner-operator and has been with Carbon Express for more than 28 years. Most of the time was spent on cross-country hauls, but lately he’s been dedicated to one customer running within a 500-mile radius of the Wharton terminal. With Carbon Express celebrating 30th anniversary this year, Marcino has been with the company almost from the very beginning.

Jeff Hunt, Gary Maxwell, Robert Wyker Sr, and Robert Frechette were recognized with the ATA’s Million Mile Award. Frechette’s award was presented to his widow as Robert recently lost his battle with cancer. Robert Frechette was a company driver with the company for 14 years before he passed away.

Jeff Hunt is a company driver running over the road and has been with Carbon Express for 19 years. Gary Maxwell is also a company driver running over the road and with Carbon for the past 13 years. Robert Wyker Sr is an owner-operator who has been with the company for the past 19 years.
