Battleground Oil Specialty Terminal Company LLC (BOSTCO), a joint venture between Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP and TransMontaigne Partners LP, with 55% and 45%, respectively, is expecting its first shipment of liquids this week (Sept 30-Oct 4), according to an Industrial Info Resources report. A Valero barge reportedly will deliver residual fuel oils in all grades to the brand new storage terminal on the Houston TX Ship Channel.

Construction of the BOSTCO terminal began in December 14, 2011.

The first phase of the project currently included construction of 52 storage tanks that will have a capacity of 6.6 million barrels for handling residual fuel, feedstocks, distillates, and other black oils. Terminal service agreements and/or letters of intent have been executed with customers for almost all of the capacity.  ♦
