UPT continues leadership transition

David Price moves from COO to executive vice chairman of family-owned motor fuel carrier

David Price of United Petroleum Transports (UPT) has transitioned from chief operating officer to executive vice chairman.

Price has been with UPT for 11 years and served as COO for the last five.

Although his title is changing, he will still maintain an active role within UPT, the company said. As an owner of the company, he will continue to provide guidance on the vision, mission, and the culture that has come to define UPT. He will work closely with leadership to help advance and accomplish UPT’s collective goals.

“United Petroleum Transports and the amazing individuals who make up our UPT family have been a constant part of my life,” Price said. “Helping my father, Greg Price, lead and grow this company throughout the years has been a wonderfully fulfilling experience, and I look forward to continuing to work with him and the rest of our leadership team, including our new president, Matt Herndon.”

The company said its is excited for a new chapter in its history.

“We are proud to have David continue to represent us in his new role,” UPT said. “David has helped cultivate relationships with our associates, and he will continue to do so while also helping UPT pursue new customers, partners, and vendors.”
